Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live

October 18th, 2008 · 1 Comment

What could Sarah Palin have done on Saturday Night Live to sway those whose minds are already made up?  Nothing.  If you don’t like Sarah Palin by now, you aren’t going to change your mind in the last two weeks of the campaign.  So this post isn’t for you.

What I saw is a woman who had the courage to go on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, a program that has benefited greatly from anti-Palin sentiment during this campaign,  and hold her own with Tina Fey, an actress who’s impressive impersonation is marred by her outspoken political views.  Palin held her head high and performed a dignified script while giving the world the shot we’ve all been waiting for - Palin and Fey on the same stage.  Palin then good naturedly sat through a rap routine revealing that she was in touch with the younger generation, was self-deprecating and has a sense of humor.   She was both reserved and relaxed as she signed off the nightly news segment on the show.

I am an Obama supporter but I have to say I respect your view- very well spoken. I don’t necessarily agree, I think Palin is the weight dragging McCain to the bottom of the ocean but good blog.
