Thank you to everyone who believed in me and my ideals during the 2007 Eagle Mayoral campaign. I was honored that so many people shared my vision and were willing to dedicate countless hours working with me during the election. I am thankful to have earned the trust and support of the thousands of people who voted for me during the runoff election. I see the final outcome of the election as a victory, in that our voice was heard and efforts have already been made to control the growth.
On the day I filed the election forms, I was a relatively unknown citizen of Eagle; however I emerged from this election as the chosen leader of a large group of residents who wanted change. 48% of the voters. Thank you for your faith in me. I have never been afraid to speak out and represent others who share my views and I am committed to continue to do so.
I will be using this blog to share my thoughts on a number of topics; from changes I would like to see to the election process, addressing some of the rumors that were spread during the campaign, and providing my opinion on a number of issues that affect our community.
Please visit often and feel free to comment. I welcome all views, both for and against my own opinions. My only requirement for posting comments is that you post under your real name.

Saundra,
Glad you are going to stay involved. Someone asked how we could get the legislature to deal with issues of growth etc. I believe we need someone to run as a Republican in Dist. 14 who can get bi-partisan support. Preserve Eagle coalition has shown that we can work together outside party lines for the good of our community. The Common Interest group of Keith Allred has chosen three issues for this year’s legislature….1.Water 2.Transportation and 3. Growth Paying for Itself. Preserve Eagle has brought these issues to the forefront. Good job to all. We need to elect more progressive candidates to the legislature, and Dist. 14 has the
momentum to do that.

Still feel you would have been the best man(person) for mayor. Please stay involved and consider making comments on the city of Eagle being in the water business. My opinion is that water and sewer go together, maybe that is where the Eagle Water Co. should go. Good luck on the new eatery.

Hi, Saundra:
LOVE your website! It’s so very, very helpful
to have a source of information as to the real
goings-on in our fair city that are so glossed over
by the administration and our illustrious Idaho Statesman. And I am not at all surprised to learn that Mr. Bandy already has the City embroiled in a lawsuit over an oversight in the
Urban Renewal Plan. And HE talks about “superficial”……oh, please!
Please keep exposing all that you see, Saundra…
you’re a wonderful researcher and investigator
(and would have been a wonderful mayor, too…
I’m still not quite over that).
Looking forward to hearing from you on this
website (or any other time you care to) again and again and again.
Thank you for your very nice note recently.
It was an honor and a pleasure to support you in your campaign.
Best to you and Andrew. We’ll see you in your
new restaurant soon!
Linda & Joe Kennedy
